eh damnshites.. this weekend got Baybeats 2004 xia. I also know that this SAT is the Delon's b-day. (Happy B-day in advance ah mofo.)

So now I got a prob leh. I quite torn up over whether to go check out Baybeats or to celebrate with lonshite.

What I suggest is this:

1) We reach Delon's house in the early afternoon. lonshite decides what will be the programme for the day.

2) At around 6pm, (7pm at most?) we jokers go down to Esplanade for Baybeats '04 & walk about, enjoying some b33r bought from 7-11, the bands & the cool seaside breeze.

This idea is mine lah. What I need now is for you guys to give me feedback. If you all are happy with my idea, please say. If you guys think it sucks, please say something also. In any case, please comment on it in the comments section below. GAMXIA.

OK. This session's members who were present were p3kshite & Edd"definitely.sucks.like"shit. The reasons for the extraordinary Boonism abuse for Edd will become clear below.

The session started around 6:20+pm (6:45?) when Edd arrived. After warm-ups, p3k then suggested that since the 2nd level (walls are more basic level of difficulty) was crowded, they warm up by doing the more difficult walls @ ground floor, which was unusual for climbing session routines.

So, after putting their stuff down, p3k then showed Edd the routes which he invented with the ground level walls, such as "Big Rock", & of course, the infamous "Unrequited Masturbation".

p3k, with his mofo-ego, & realistic estimating Edd's strengths, gauged that Edd could not finish Unrequited Mast' in ONE climb. After some demos with the parts which he faced difficulties with, (let's call this part PART II) p3k let Edd test-try Part II. WTF, Edd finished Part II of Unrequited Mast' with NO SWEAT. In the words of a prophet who sucked, " daaamnshite~" However, none of the ROC team has been able to complete the entire route yet. It remains a route of little satisfaction.

So, since Edd quite effective showed how to grasp the problem of Masturbation & gain satisfaction, a FEDupEX p3k went to go do his favourite ego-inspiring-cheapskate ceiling route, "Penguin Dance", a bastardation of the more difficult "FLY" ceiling route.

At this point, Kelly, p3k's schoolfriend's sister, had a chat with p3k & set a route at 1 of the ground level walls. Unexpectedly, at a unfocused attempt, p3k accomplished the route da' shit! Edd calls the route "Monkey See, Monkey Do" Can we do it? Try first then just do loh.

Overall, it was an OK session. Didn't do much climbing, more talkingcock. But on the plus side, attempts were more focused, so more ground & progress was covered. p3k found out that Edd was better at "Masturbation". p3k will learn & try to improve his own techniques @ "Masturbation".

It's come to my attention, through Slashdot, that there's a vulnerability on Windows based Mozilla products that allows arbitrary code to be run. More info, as well as the patch, can be found on this Newsforge page.

The kicker is that this isn't even a problem with Mozilla; it's a problem with Windows Explorer. Windows XP Service Pack 1 was supposed to have closed this hole, but apparently it is still functioning and leaving Windows systems open to remote attack. So the Mozilla team worked to patch a hole that had little to do with their project.

Is this really a security hole? When Mozilla receives a shell: request, it passes it on to an external handler in Windows. The "fix" for this is to disable this functionality which, as far as I can tell, is totally unnecessary to begin with. External handlers -- programs outside Mozilla -- have no specific security model, so the only way to deal with them is to make individual exceptions like this one. Messy? Yes. But that's Windows.

Umm, about the failed night drive trip yesterday (07th July), sorry ah, overslept. Paiseh.

Due to the "wtf happened to going to Delon's house @ 2am to watch Euro 2004 final?!?" debacle, I haven't got around to describing the highlights of the climbing session on Sunday (04th July) until today. Since I'm now bored in school, here goes.

* Boon has finally (at last, finally, zhong[1] yu[2]) managed to conquer the 2nd story rock wall! With struggle & great effort, Boon was able in 1 climb to scale the entire wall from left to right & back left again. To the moon! Nice work man.

* p3k & boon tried their hand (& feet) at the advanced rock walls on the 1st floor. After several unsuccessful attempts (one being very close to success.. URGH!) at a particular route which p3k had christened "Unrequited Masturbation", ("You try & you try & you try harder but you don't get no satisfaction") p3k went off to climb the ceiling route which he has mastered.

* edd arrived quite late @ 9:45pm-10pm+ (? not sure of time) At this point, boon & p3k were engaged in amateur historical discussion over the history of Christianity with references made to some vague inaccurate timeline. edd did not change into climbing clothes (or pay either >:]) but climbed a couple of rounds.

* One of the regulars @ the rock gym, Chris, chatted with us & gave us some pointers on how to use our bodies and our natural strengths to our advantage in our climb. He then demostrated with some very strong and solid climbs on very difficult routes. ( O_O ) Charged by the mood of the moment, Boon, edd & p3k went up, fell off, and went up again in a mad pace of succession to try out the new tips & strategies.

Overall, it was a very fruitful session. Boon was able to advance to a whole new level in his game, and we gained some very powerful insight from Chris the "pow-werrr!" guy. Cheers~ p3k out.

Huzzah! As I commented on Edison's anti-IE rant, I've converted the blog's HTML into a nice HTML/CSS webpage. I haven't changed the layout much, but I have layed down the groundwork to allow the blog to have multiple layouts. I'll try to come up with a new layout for the blog, just to try it out.

Besides the recoding of the HTML, I've also enabled a few features on the blog. The most prominent would be enabling of comments. We can now leave comments on each post instead of going in to edit the post just so you can comment.

Another thing added is the permalinks. If you click on the title of each posting, you'll be taken to a separate page with just the post and the comments. Useful for when you want to show people a certain post.

If you make a new post now, you will notice that the "POSTED BY" thing is gone now. The blog will automatically add the nick that you put in your blogger.com account to the end of your post.

Another nifty thing, if you guys want to post a convo from IRC, you can simply put them inside this: <div class="irc">[ZeroByte] this is IRC text</div> and it will automatically show it in the IRC font, like so:
