Firstly, a BIG thanks to everyone who came down. A BIG w00t to Kheng Mun for organising & inviting us to his chalet.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that the chalet was at the very least, a disappointment. The sad thing is that it is totally NOT kheng's fault. There was shitloads of food. Plenty of sleeping space.
On my own part, I apologise for being quite tired @ times. (Slept earlier on Friday + Slept quite earlier on Sunday) Had to worry about Church commitments on Sunday.
What I feel screwed the fun level of the chalet were these factors:
1. Lack of commitment from people - I personally saw how some people couldn't even confirm whether they will be coming or not even at the 11th hour. Seriously, they never gave a thought about how much of an organising headache that caused kheng. WTF, you wanna come, say YES. If not say NO. Don't give half-assed answers. What's so hard about that?
Others come down after their clubbing/gai-gai/beach/other activities & sit around to stone. OK, some cases (eg. edm/remy/justin booked out from NS) can't be helped, but I feel that for the others, the very least we could do is to be hyper & excited.
2. No planning of activities to do - Maybe in hindsight, we should have put off playing RISK to Day 2. We (boon+p3k+edd+kheng) neglected the others. We could have done other fun things (night exploring/beach walk/alcohol/talk cock/cards games) that would involve more people = more shiok fun. I'm not blaming anyone. Its just one of those things that we didn't realise at the time. Maybe there should have been a little more planning.
3. No techno/rock/bangra/whatever music & dance - Did anyone feel a lack of ambience @ all? I think next time we have a chalet.. fuck.. better get a laptop filled with great music + a gd set of speakers. Bring the fucking house down.
Its sad really. The food & drink was excellent. Kheng's family & relatives were very friendly & hospitable. There was such a great potential for the chalet to have really JTFUed.
On the bright side, here's my personal memories of the chalet:
1. Lots of makan (damn shiok)
2. Climbing up to the roof with Edd (you explored the rooftop. you found (1) soccer ball!)
3. Being a mad parkour-ninja & confused Kheng's relatives when playing Hide&Seek
4. Bowling with the guys & nightwalk around DTE
Sorry if this post sounds negative. I just felt I had to say these things. Please do comment.

Justin's self reminder: owe kheng $5 for the food :p
p3k's reminder to everyone else: Guys, pls pay Kheng the $5-$10 if you haven't already done so. Thanks.

Hey guys, don't be so heartfelt towards the bad and unhappy subjects of the chalet.. To me, its v fun and enjoyable.. I miss all the times we had and e companionship u guys gave me as well. Hence, It felt great to meet and catch up wif u guys.. Thereafter, feeling sad that i have to leave cos i don't know when will we meet again..
Maybe its bcos i'm serving the army, thus my expectations of fun had been redefined.. Even if there were no sumptous food, luxurious rooms or games to play, meeting up with u ppl jus to chat, take photos and play a little games is enough for me..
I'm not saying that we shouldn't have chalets but trying to bring across a point of being contented with wad has been there.. Make use of every little thing that is available to create the element of fun.. So don't blame anyone for it... Its all in the mind.. It will be fun if u think it is and of course vice versa..
"Cherish" is the word tat i will use to express all my heartfelt feelings.. Cos wad i've gone thru has all become memories in my heart.. The food, new frens i've made, games, talking cock sessions and even lying on the bed and slack is heavenly.. :) kinda unbelievable but its true..
No matter what happens, we must always keep in touch.. Even if u r gonna change phone, house or wadsoever, pls do inform everyone.. If each and everyone does this little step and make this little effort, we will know tat this fren of my mine will always be there and not bcome history..
To whoever feels sad, disappointed, all i can say is.. cheer up! Life goes on...
Lastly, i've been posted to armour camp for my pro term in ocs and i'll be going to Brunei next sat 21st aug for training.. do take care and update me of any happenings ard k... till we meet again guys
